For whom is General Third Party Liability insurance compulsory?

For public gathering places:

  • Trade Center
  • Market Place
  • Fuel and/or Gas Filling Station
  • Hotel

By government decree December 28, 2017:

  •     The owner of a public gathering place is obliged to ensure compulsory GTPL insurance in accordance with the terms and conditions established under the rule
  •     GTPL insurance is obligatory during the full functioning period of public gathering place

The purpose of compulsory GTPL insurance is to protect the interest of third parties, in respect of property damage and bodily injury, arising out of and within the public gathering place.

Covered Risks
Compulsory GTPL insurance covers any loss or damage imposed to life, health and/or property of third parties as a result of fire, explosion, or construction collapse (including elevator fall) at a public gathering place. Also, the damage to property (movable property, stocks) of entrepreneurs (entities/persons) operating in the public gathering place.
